Trail # 203
Description
The #203 Loop officially Begins and Ends off of
#201, on the right, approx. 150 yards from the Trailhead. It is also accessible from
trails # 202 and #204.
Due to its elevation gain of 120 feet and relatively short length, this trail ( known by
local bicyclist' as 'the Rattler', due to its serpentine layout and terrain that can jar
loose your tooth fillings ) is the final step in the 'warm-up' phase for mountain bikers.
Ridden in the Clockwise direction, that 120 feet of elevation is gained in less than 1/2
mile of unrelenting Root-infested, Flint and Limestone permeated, tire slicing Ozark
terra-firma. Loose gravel is the only traction on this climb. At the top, drink up!!! It's
one FAST, twisty, one mile roller-coaster ride back down. This section of trail can go
from Sweet to Bone Jarring to Sweet in a matter of seconds.
Don't forget the Helmet!!! This trail can make someone, somewhere, very glad that you
signed up as an Organ Donor.
