Horseman's Special Bringing your own horse?*
1.*ALL horses entering our facility must have a current with-in one year negative Coggins test before they are unloaded from your trailer. No exceptions! No other papers required other than what your home State requires you to have. 2. Please Note: Due to the nature
of the Ozark terrain, your horse must be properly shoed. |
These 10x10 pipe panels are provided for our four legged guests for their safety and your worry free vacation time. There are 16 separate stalls. They are well shaded for most of the hot summer days. Your cabin and access to water is near by. You can look out a window to check on your horse. Bring what your horse needs to eat and wear, and what you need to eat and wear, and we provide the rest. Horse feed, vet services, and farrier service are all available within a 30 minute drive.

Debra Racheter has spent her life with horses. Her goal is to make you feel at home when you arrive at Tall Pine, for you to have a great riding experience on the trails while you are here, and to arrive back at the Resort each evening safe. Pictured here with her Number 2 guide horse, Traveler, and Pogo in the rear, one of the most versatile horses in the State of Arkansas.

Two horse-riding dogs - Gigi on the left, owned by Helen Elsner, a riding buddy of mine, and Mr. Stubby my dog on the right, at one of the many waterfalls within the Sylamore Experimental Forest. Your pet is welcome at Tall Pine.

Our general rule of thumb is if a child is old enough to ride a bicycle without training wheels, then they can ride a horse. An adult rider must not weight much more than 250 pounds although SOME exceptions are occasionally made. A shorter ride with less strenuous terrain is the solution. |
